This simple, finely crafted helm is in the style of the 15th century barbut, an open-faced helm which is lightweight yet provides excellent protection.  This particular barbut has a faceguard protecting the nose and cheekbone areas. A single spike adorns the top of the helm, providing both decoration as well as functionality when in battle.This piece is crafted completely in steel, is extremely durable, and of museum-quality. Makes an excellent piece to wear at renaissance fairs, and is easy to remove.
